The Shopping List
- 1 pound ground lamb
- cheese (Kasseri or Provolone)
- bread (9 to 12 inch baguette or brioche buns)
- onion (purple)
- honey mustard dressing or tzatziki sauce)
- cumin (1/8 teaspoon or less)
- coriander (1/8 teaspoon or less)
- garlic (1/8 teaspoon or less)
- olive oil
- sea salt
- ground pepper
Form 2 to 3 seasoned lamb patties after sprinkling cumin, coriander, garlic, and pepper on the meat. Grill those bad boys up on the barbecue. When they’re almost done, add a slice of cheese on each and let it melt like it’s a glacier. Slice onion rings and drizzle them with olive oil and a sprinkle of garlic powder. Cook and carmelize these on the grill. With your third set of hands, slice the baguette into three pieces, or take the easy way out and use a brioche roll. On one half of the roll, layer spinach, tomato, onions, honey mustard dressing or tzatziki sauce, salt, pepper, and finally the cheese topped lamb burger. Top with the other half of roll, or cut down on carbs by going open-face.
