These just aren’t your average rice krispie treat!

The Shopping List

  • 1 cup low-fat graham crackers crushed
  • 1 cup quick oats
  • 1 cup Rice Krispies
  • 1 cup ground flaxseed
  • 1 cup almond butter
  • 2/3 cup honey or agave
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup almonds finely chopped2 tablespoons coconut oil or vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

    *Optional: Chopped fruit, honey crunch wheat germ, coconut, and/or
    chopped nuts

    Let’s Cook!

    Combine the dry ingredients. In a separate bowl blend wet ingredients and gently fold into the dry mixing until well-combined. Form mixture into well rounded tablespoon-sized balls by rolling out between your palms.

Use a cookie scoop to portion out.  Roll the balls into one of the above ingredients to add a twist!

Refrigerate for 1-2 hours and then serve.

Store in a sealed container or zip lock bag.They stay fresh for about a week in refrigerator or a month in the freezer.

Makes about 2 1/2 dozen
